A footballer has died after a celebration went tragically wrong in India’s Mizoram Premier League.

Peter Biaksangzuala died in hospital on Sunday after falling on his head while attempting a somersault after scoring for Bethlehem Vengthlang FC – a club based in the north east Indian province of Mizoram.

The 23-year-old midfielder scored a 62nd-minute equaliser against Chanmari West FC in Tuesday’s league encounter and celebrated acrobatically – in a manner similar to record World Cup goalscorer Miroslav Klose.

Biaksangzuala mistimed his landing and his head took the brunt of the fall.

Team-mates immediately rushed to his aid and he was carried off the pitch on a stretcher.

Biaksangzuala was rushed to Aizawl Civil Hospital where a CT scan revealed he had severely damaged his spinal cord and he was moved to an intensive care unit.

The Mizoram Premier League is at state level. Each state has their own league and on a national scale, play in the third tier of Indian football.

He spent five days in hospital, as doctors unsuccessfully attempted to heal his injuries, and was pronounced dead in the early hours of Sunday after being put on a ventilator.

A source said: ‘He was trying to do Germany’s Klose signature flip stunt, but it misfired unfortunately.’ 


Reports in India suggest that Biaksangzuala had donated his eyes during the time he spent in the hospital.

In memory of the midfielder, Bethlehem Vengthlang FC have retired his shirt No 21 with the Mizoram Football Association releasing a statement via their official Facebook page.

The statement read: ‘Bethlehem Vengthlang FC midfielder Peter Biaksangzuala lost his fight for survival after he suffered a fatal injury while celebrating his goal.

‘It has been a sad day for Mizoram football and the demise of the footballer shook his team-mates, footballers and fans alike all over Mizoram.

‘Peter was a defensive midfielder who had always been aggressive and hard working, a true team player. Like most defensive midfielders, he was excellent at reading the game, breaking up attacks and protecting his defenders.

‘Peter’s club Bethlehem Vengthlang FC will retire his jersey no. 21.’

Bethlehem Vengthlang coach Danny Lalduhawma added: ‘Peter was a lad with good manner who always maintained his discipline on and off the pitch. I don’t think there are many like him.’

Woman Beats 3 Men In Rap Battle, So They Rape, Set Her On Fire & Shoot her


Atlanta, GA – Joey Betrail Garron, 28, Robert Carl Johnson, 23 and Ketorie Glover, 23, can’t handle losing to a woman so they beat, raped, shot and set their female adversary on fire and left her for dead.

Police responded to a vacant lot at 988 Farr Road. in reference to a person crying out for help. The responding officers found a woman suffering from several gunshot wounds.


The police investigation revealed that the victim, 36, had been to a house party. There, outside the house, she became engaged in a spirited rap contest with three men.


At some point, the exchange became heated because the aggressive woman was laying them out bar after bar. After she spit her last verse the men couldn’t take it anymore. One of the men pulled out a gun and forced the victim inside of her vehicle.


Two other men, one of whom was also armed, joined them in the car. They wanted to teach the woman a lesson about trying to act like a man.

The woman was driven to a vacant lot where all three men sexually assaulted her.

The woman’s vehicle and the woman were doused with gasoline and then set on fire. She was shot three times before they walked away.

The woman was taken by ambulance to Midtown Medical Center, where she has undergone extensive medical treatment for the injuries she sustained.

All three men were arrested and charged with felony charges of aggravated assault, rape, kidnapping, aggravated battery, aggravated sexual battery, aggravated sodomy, arson first degree, hijacking a motor vehicle and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.

Robin Williams’ Family Guy episode showing failed suicide attempt was on BBC Three minutes before death was announced


An episode of cartoon comedy Family Guy about Robin Williams featuring a failed suicide attempt went out at almost exactly the time his death was announced.

Viewers were shocked over the uncanny timing after watching the episode called Fatman and Robin, where Peter Griffin is cursed with the ability to turn everything he touches into Robin Williams.

During the episode Peter tries to commit suicide in a desperate attempt to stop the clones appearing, before eventually chopping both his hands off to end the spell.

The internet is full of comments about the bizarre coincidence with most people calling it “weird” after watching it air on BBC 3 at 11.25pm.

Williams passed away after a reported suicide attempt on Monday afternoon at his family home in California and the news broke around 11.50pm.

The comedian’s death was reported on several news outlets at the same time the show was being screened.

In the episode Peter is watching Williams – his favorite comedian – when another comedian, Jeff Ross, insults his hero.

Peter runs outside in the middle of a thunderstorm and accuses God of hating Williams and wishing that everyone was the comedian before he gets struck by lightning.

Upon waking up in the hospital, Peter discovers he has gained the ability to turn everyone and everything he touches into Williams in a rip-off of the Greek legend about King Midas turning everything he touches into gold.

A spokeswoman for the BBC described it as an “uncanny coincidence” and said plans to repeat the episode this Friday had been pulled.

She said workers realised the episode ended just as the comedian’s death was announced.

Scheduling takes place at least two weeks before the programme is aired and the same episode has been repeated several times before and was down to be repeated on Friday.

The spokeswoman added: “It was due to be repeated on Friday but we will not be showing it now.”

Today Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane said: “The world just got a lot less funny. Robin Williams is a tragic loss.”

Oscar-winning actor and comedian Robin Williams was found dead in an apparent suicide at his Northern California home Monday, law enforcement officials said. He was 63.

“He has been battling severe depression of late,” his media representative Mara Buxbaum said. “This is a tragic and sudden loss. The family respectfully asks for their privacy as they grieve during this very difficult time.”

Coroner investigators suspect “the death to be a suicide due to asphyxia,” according to a statement from the Marin County, Calif., Sheriff’s Office.

Williams married graphic designer Susan Schneider in Napa Valley ceremony in October 2011.

Schneider issued this statement:

“This morning, I lost my husband and my best friend, while the world lost one of its most beloved artists and beautiful human beings. I am utterly heartbroken.

“On behalf of Robin’s family, we are asking for privacy during our time of profound grief. As he is remembered, it is our hope the focus will not be on Robin’s death, but on the countless moments of joy and laughter he gave to millions.”

RIP Maya Angelou dead at 86


WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Award-winning author, renowned poet and civil rights activist Dr. Maya Angelou has died. She was 86.

Winston-Salem Mayor Allen Joines confirmed Angelou was found by her caretaker on Wednesday morning.

The family confirmed the news in a statement on Wednesday:

“Dr. Maya Angelou passed quietly in her home before 8:00 a.m. EST. Her family is extremely grateful that her ascension was not belabored by a loss of acuity or comprehension. She lived a life as a teacher, activist, artist and human being. She was a warrior for equality, tolerance and peace. The family is extremely appreciative of the time we had with her and we know that she is looking down upon us with love.”

Angelou’s publicist, Helen Brann, also confirmed the news.

Angelou had been reportedly battling health problems. She recently canceled a scheduled appearance of a special event to be held in her honor.

Angelou was set to be honored with the “Beacon of Life Award” at the 2014 MLB Beacon Award Luncheon on May 30 in Houston.

Wake Forest University issued a statement on Wednesday:

“Dr. Angelou was a national treasure whose life and teachings inspired millions around the world, including countless students, faculty, and staff at Wake Forest, where she served as Reynolds Professor of American Studies since 1982. Our thoughts and prayers are with Dr. Angelou’s family and friends during this difficult time.”

“Maya Angelou has been a towering figure — at Wake Forest and in American culture. She had a profound influence in civil rights and racial reconciliation. We will miss profoundly her lyrical voice and always keen insights,” Wake Forest University President Nathan O. Hatch said on Wednesday.

School officials said information about a campus memorial may be shared at a later date.

Angelou, one of the most renowned and influential voices of our time, is a celebrated poet, novelist, educator, producer, actress, filmmaker and civil rights activist.

A professor, singer and dancer, among other things, Angelou’s work spans several different professions. She spent her early years studying dance and drama in California.

After dropping out at age 14, she became the San Francisco’s first African-American female cable car conductor.

Angelou later returned to high school to finish her diploma and gave birth to her son a few weeks after graduation. While the 17-year-old single mother waited tables to support her son, she acquired a passion for music and dance.

Affectionately referred to as Dr. Angelou, the professor never went to college. She has received over 50 honorary degrees and was Reynolds Professor of American Studies at Wake Forest University.

Angelou is famous for saying, “I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.”

The famous poet got into writing after a childhood tragedy that stunned her into silence for almost a decade. When she was 7, her mother’s boyfriend raped her. He was later beaten to death by a mob after she testified against him.

“My 7-and-a-half-year-old logic deduced that my voice had killed him, so I stopped speaking for almost six years,” she said.

From the silence, a louder voice was born.

Her list of friends is as impressive as her illustrious career. Talk show queen Oprah Winfrey referred to her as “sister friend.” She counted Martin Luther King Jr., with whom she worked during the Civil Rights movement, among her friends. King was assassinated on her birthday.

Angelou spoke at least six languages, and worked as a newspaper editor in Egypt and Ghana. During that time, she wrote “I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings,” launching the first in a series of autobiographical books.

“I want to write so well that a person is 30 or 40 pages in a book of mine … before she realizes she’s reading,” she said.

Angelou was also one of the first black women film directors. Her work on Broadway has been nominated for Tony Awards.

Before making it big, the 6-foot-tall wordsmith also worked as a cook and sang with a traveling road show. “Look where we’ve all come from … coming out of darkness, moving toward the light,” she has said. “It is a long journey, but a sweet one, bittersweet.”

Mahim building collapse: 2 dead, 5 injured, many trapped in debris

Part of a four-storey residential building collapsed in Mahim, Mumbai on Monday evening after there were incessant rains in the city for two days. The building is located near the famous Mahim dargah. One senior citizen was killed and five people injured.

“Residents are feared to have been trapped in the debris after a portion of the building on Cadell Road collapsed,” an official said.

The building called Altaf reportedly had a Maruti car showroom on its ground floor.

Early reports suggest that five fire brigades have rushed to the spot as several cars parked in the vicinity have been damaged and are being towed away.

Rescue operations are underway.

A 70-year-old woman who was rescued from the Mahim building collapse was brought to the BMC-run Bhabha Hospital in Bandra gasping for breath. She succumbed within 5 minutes on her arrival at the hospital.

The deceased has been identified as Zaibunissa Abdul Sattar Laakha, the official said, adding rescue operations are still on.

Second casualty, as an old woman is pulled out dead from the debris. Atleast 8 are feared trapped in the building.

“One more woman and a man have been admitted to the casualty ward of Bhabha Hospital and attempts are being made to revive them. They have suffered from poly-trauma and head injuries,” said Dr Seema Malik, chief of peripheral hospitals, BMC.

A 45-year-old man has been admitted in an unconscious state to BMC-run Sion Hospital while two more injured people have been taken to BMC-run KEM Hospital.

When ‘Pac was gunned down on September 7, 1996 in Nevada, Frank was not present and often reflected on not being their in various interviews and documentaries. Frank has said that he wished he were there, and speculated as to whom he though could be responsible for Tupac’s death.


Frank spoke with the Sabotage Times about the accounts that lead up to Tupac’s assassination and shared who he thought may have played a role in his murder.


He revealed that Tupac got into a fight the night that he got shot, with Orlando Anderson, a Crip from the South side. Frank said that he thought that the fight between the member of the Crips Gang and Death Row may have played a role in Tupac’s untimely death.
“Yeah. If you get into a scuffle and you get you butt whupped, whatcha gonna do? You’re going to tell your friends,” he said told Sabotage Times. However when Tupacs black BMW was gunned down, Frank was pursuing other orders from his boss, which required him to be the designated driver another vehicle, because Tupac’s posse was under the influence.

Frank said that Suge Knight held him responsible for Tupac’s murder, and even ent has far as to issue death threats. “One of the bodyguards called me up and said, ‘Hey, if you don’t testify for Suge then they want you dead.’ I’m like. ‘Who does?’ and he goes, ‘Death Row,'” Frank said.
Tupac’s death weighed heavy on Frank’s heart and he paid tribute to his late boss and friend co-producing classic documentaries Tupac: Before I Wake (2001) and Tupac: Assassination (2009), as well as writing Got Your Back (1998), about his time’s with ‘Pac.

New Orleans rapper Awood ‘Mr. Magic’ Johnson has died


Awood “Mr. Magic” Johnson, a rapper best known for his work in the 90’s on the No Limit Records label, has died. Johnson, 44, and his wife of 13 years, Chastity, were killed in a fatal car crash Friday, March 1, in Hattiesburg, Miss. The couple’s daughter, 12-year-old Twila Wise Johnson, survived.


Johnson grew up in the 9th Ward of New Orleans, in a musical family: his mother was the gospel and jazz singer Juanita Brooks, who passed away in 2009. His uncle is R&B guitarist Detroit Brooks, Sr.; in 2012, Johnson recorded the song “Beauty” with his cousin, singer Detroit Brooks, Jr.


When Johnson decided hip-hop was his muse, his gospel and jazz-playing family was supportive, said Johnson’s sister Timisha.

“Our mom encouraged us to do whatever we were passionate about,” she said.

Sky’s the Limit,” Johnson’s debut as Magic for No Limit Records, hit No. 15 on the Billboard 200 and No. 3 on the hip-hop/R&B albums chart. It featured cameos by Mia X, Mystikal, Fiend, Snoop Dogg, Soulja Slim and others; he followed it up with two more projects for the label. In the early 2000’s, along with many of its other prominent artists, Johnson left No Limit, which filed for bankruptcy in 2003.

Johnson released a final solo album, “On My Own,” for the Koch Records label – which would eventually absorb a reorganized No Limit – in 2003. The following year, he scored a hit with the single “I Smoke, I Drank,” as one-third of the Body Head Bangerz, a group that included New Orleans rapper Choppa and former boxing champion Roy Jones, Jr. In 2006, it was announced that Johnson had signed to the New York-based independent TVT Records, but he didn’t release any material, and the label dissolved in 2007.

Most recently, Johnson had released singles on his own Banx Entertainment label. In 2011, he “>appeared on a panel with fellow veterans Mystikal, Mos Def and Mannie Fresh to celebrate the fourth anniversary of the local Industry Influence monthly hip-hop networking event.

As news of Johnson’s passing spread Saturday, condolences flooded onto social media from fans and collaborators. “RIP to my brother, Mr. Magic and his wife,” Mystikal tweeted. “God bless their families.” Performers Vyshonn “Silkk the Shocker” and Corey “C-Murder” Miller, the brothers of No Limit label owner Percy “Master P” Miller, also posted notes of sympathy online. Rapper Mia X Instagrammed a photo of the couple, sneaking a kiss.


Timisha Brooks remembers her brother as a loving person, for whom his wife and family always came first.

“He made sure we stuck together after our mom passed,” Brooks said. After their mother’s death in 2009, she said, Johnson, who had been living in Florida, moved to Baton Rouge to be closer to the family.

“Everybody knows us as a team,” she said, “and he was very much the leader.”

“He was a passionate guy. He loved his siblings; he loved his wife. There’s a comfort in knowing that neither of them has to live without the other. That makes it more bearable.”

Funeral arrangements have not yet been made, Brooks said.
