Legendary trio of the reggae band, UB40, is set to perform live on March 30 at KL LIVE

Britain’s greatest reggae band, and one of the world’s most commercially successful bands of all time, UB40, is set to perform live in Malaysia for an exclusive show at KL LIVE on March 30. Organized by The Livescape Group, the one-night-only show is set to attract close to 3,000 fans singing and grooving along to the legendary musicians’ tunes.

The four-time Grammy Award nominees are also one of the world’s bestselling artistes with over 70 million albums sold worldwide, and are known for their unique blend of reggae, pop, dub and ska sound. The band was first formed in 1978 and has had over 50 singles in the UK charts, and also a nomination for the Best British Group at the Brit Award.

UB40’s breakthrough came with their hit single, Red, Red Wine, which topped the British singles chart and reached the number one spot in the US. Other popular songs by the band include I Got You Babe, recorded with Chrissie Hynde of The Pretenders, Rat In The Kitchen and Can’t Help Falling In Love, which topped the U.S. pop chart for seven consecutive weeks.

“We are thrilled to have UB40 returning to Malaysia to perform their popular hit songs so fans can look forward to a selection of both their cover and original music as well as songs from their newest album. Tickets to the show are limited as we want to provide audiences with an up-close and personal experience, so I urge fans to purchase them early to avoid disappointment”, Rahul Kukreja, Director of Live Events of The Livescape Group said.

The band’s initial line up lasted for 30 years from the band’s formation in 1978 until front-man Ali Campbell’s departure from the band in 2008. Since that time, two other founding members; Mickey Virtue, and Astro, have also left the band, and the trio of Campbell, Virtue, and Astro have since formed UB40 Reunited. These three founding members are now embarking on a huge world tour, which the fans have been crying out for and Malaysia will be one of their stops for the tour.

“UB40 Live in Malaysia featuring Ali Campbell, Mickey Virtue and Astro” will take place at KL LIVE on 30 March 2016 at 8.00PM. Limited early bird tickets to the show are priced at RM158 (General) and RM258 (VIP). Normal priced tickets to the show will be priced at RM188 for general tickets and RM288 for VIP.

T-Pain: Officially Yours | NPR MUSIC FRONT ROW

To mark the one-year anniversary of the most popular Tiny Desk Concert ever and the 10th anniversary of his debut album, Rappa Ternt Sanga, we hosted T-Pain at our Washington, D.C. headquarters. The inimitable Floridian performed a short set of classics, both his own and others’, and brand new, never before heard song from his forthcoming album, Stoicville: The Phoenix.

T-Pain: NPR Music Tiny Desk Concert

T-Pain’s fingerprints are all over pop and R&B and hip-hop. He wasn’t the first musician to use Auto-Tune as an instrument — he noticed it on a Jennifer Lopez remix, and remembers “Deep” well — but it was, as he says, his style. For a while, in the mid-2000s, he lived at the top of the charts. He dominated that brief moment of our lives when ringtones were a thing. He was celebrated as an innovator, and he happily took his talents where he was invited, which was everywhere.

But somewhere along the way, somebody got it twisted. “People felt like I was using it to sound good,” says T-Pain, in an interview that will air on All Things Considered. “But I was just using it to sound different.”

He just turned 30, but T-Pain has already done enough to drop a greatest hits album next week. We asked him if he’d grace the Tiny Desk without any embellishment or effects to show what’s really made his career: his voice, and those songs.–FRANNIE KELLEY

House of Ikons 2015 London Fashion Week at The Hilton Paddington

House Of Ikons 2015 at the Hilton Hotel in Paddington was full of wonderful surprises from Designers from Fiji to the home of London Hott Radio right there in Lambeth. Lady K aka Savita, the founder of House of Ikons did a great job in organizing and executing the event.

Bombay Hott Radio’s favorite designer had to be Cary Santiago from the philippines who used portraits of Buddha, Shiva or an old chinese King engraved in the dresses and the mighty Yen of UAE.

Dom Kennedy, Curren$y, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, The Diplomats, Lil’ Kim & The Wu-Tang Clan Perform At The #SOURCE360 Concert In NYC

Saturday night was a historic one for the culture at #SOURCE360

The only thing preventing the roof from coming off of The Barclays Center last night at the 1st annual #SOURCE360 Concert was the infrastructure itself. Quite honestly, everyone inside made sure they did everything they could to make it happen. From the onset, with great opening performances from two of the brightest independent rappers in the game–Dom Kennedy and Curren$y–and an incredible set from Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, there waasn’t a dull moment in sight, and the crowd fed the artists with energy all night.

The Diplomats began what was a scintillating stretch for New York rap at #SOURCE360, and with Lil’ Kim and the official Wu-Tang Clan reunion to follow, one could sense the anxiety in the crowd. If the tension could be represented with a rope, it would be so taut one would be able to cut it with a dull scissors. Classics upon classics–that’s what Lil’ Kim brought to the stage, including a special guest appearance from bothMaino and Havoc of Mobb Deep. The Queen Bee had it all: Shmoney dancing, twerking, vicious bars (All About The Benjamins, Money, Power, Respect), and a stage presence that most female emcees–in fact, any emcee–would envy no matter how long they’ve been rapping. She didn’t take the opportunity to drop any subtle hints or dis shots at Iggy Azalea, or Nicki Minaj, which is what most expected, but rather stepped up to the plate and killed it.

Prior to Lil’ Kim, The Diplomats hit the stage, all four of them (Freekey Zekey included) and performed some of their classics: “Dipset Anthem”, “Oh Boy”, “Salute”, “We Fly High”, and that’s just to name a few. There couldn’t be a better lead into the Wu-Tang Clan reunion. Two of New York’s most important and genre-defining eras showcasing exactly why they mean so much to this culture on stage at the biggest venue in New York’s hottest borough. It was truly a night to be remembered.

The Wu-Tang Clan reunion had been talked about for quite some time, but none of the hype, promotion or advertisement–not even the quote the RZA fed the New York Times about the moment–prepared anybody for the moment the RZA, Ghostface Killah,Method ManRaekwonCappadonna, and the rest of the surviving members of The Wu-Tang Clan hit the stage at The Barclays Center. It wasn’t 4 or 5 of the members, and 1 or 2 of the members didn’t happen to “forget” to show up to the venue. All 9 of them, on the stage. Strong and united–yes, even RZA and Raekwon.
